Mo and Evelyn were born and raised in New York City, they lived everywhere from the Lower East Side to the Bronx and Queens. They eventually found their home in Jersey City in 2006 living in the famous Beacon condos. Five years ago, they moved to the West Bergen neighborhood and quickly fell in love with its charm, the vibrant energy, the rich blend of cultures, and the sense of community that made every day feel special.

In 2023 when they acquired the building on West Side Avenue, they knew it was the perfect opportunity to bring their dream of opening a food establishment to life. They renovated the entire space from top to bottom, transforming what was once a clothing shop into a warm, inviting restaurant.

They wanted to contribute to the community by creating a local spot where everyone could enjoy a great meal or a leisurely brunch close to home. Inspired by the spirit of Westside, they set out to build a welcoming, community-centered restaurant where people could gather, share delicious food, and make lasting memories.

With that vision in mind, Mo and Evelyn opened BOWL BURGER BISTRO, a place where neighbors become friends over hearty breakfasts, lively brunches, and dinners that celebrate the neighborhood’s diverse flavors. For them, it was never just about just the food—it was about fostering connection and giving back to the neighborhood they love.
